OWC is Open to the Public

The Center (6131 Cook Road) is open for the 2010 season on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Parking is available in the large lot on the west side of Dublin Road.

Visit with our resident animals, take part in scheduled activities, explore our nature trails, browse the OH’ Wild gift shop, and enjoy unique wild bird-viewing stations.

Some animals you may see and learn about during your visit: songbirds and birds of prey, reptiles and amphibians, and a variety of mammals.

Admission

Admission to Ohio Wildlife Center is FREE.  We welcome monetary donations as well as donation of items from our wish list.

I thought the tour was excellent! Knowing how the animals ended up here helps educate people on why wild animals should not be a pet.  Keep doing what you’re doing and we will keep telling people about you.

The Columbus Zoo is educational but the animals are the exhibit.  Here, the animals are not the center of the place.  What OWC does is the exhibit and the animals help tell your story.

 

 
The Red-tailed hawk is a medium-sized bird of prey found throughout North America. It is generally non-aggressive toward humans and other birds and is an opportunistic feeder with a diet mostly of small mammals. Raccoons are opportunistic eaters and can be avoided by keeping garbage and compost piles secure, and keeping pet food inside. This coyote, Hope, was unreleasable because she was hand-raised by humans before sent to OWC, and so lacks certain survival skills. He may spend more than a quarter of all the daylight hours in territory defense. He vigorously keeps all other males out of the territory and defends the nests from predators.
